Malayattoor, a place of prayer and pilgrimage

Malayattoor, situated at about 47 km from Kochi, while driving towards Kalady, the birth place of Sri Adi Sankarachary is the famous Catholic Church, located on top of the Malayattoor hill which is at about a height of 609 m above sea-level. Dedicated to one of the apostles of Jesus Christ St. Thomas, where thousands of pilgrims gather for the annual festival 'Malayatoor Perunnal', held during the months of March /April.
