Njarakkal Aqua tourism project by Matsyafed is a huge water fish farm, located at about 9 km from High court junction, Kochi in a village called Njarakkal.
The Farm is located in the heart of Vypin Island adjacent to Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute .The place is beautifully surrounded by flora and aquatic fauna.
Karimeen(Pearl spot fish) are common in this farm and tourists are allowed to catch them by angle-hooks. The ticket fare of aqua-tourism is Rs.200/-per adult and Rs.100/-per child up to 12 years, which include entry fee, welcome drink, pedal boating, row boating, lunch with fish curry ,fish fry , prawn pickle and ice cream along with angle-hooks with line and bait .

Also special fish dishes like Karimeen pollichatu,fish molly, Crab roast, Prawn masala etc are available in the restaurant at reasonable rates.
